Shiv Nadar University (SNU), established in 2011 by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, is a private, multidisciplinary research university located in Gautam Buddha Nagar. It aims to nurture future leaders through quality education and ethical leadership. The university comprises four schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management & Entrepreneurship, along with the Academy of Continuing Education.

SNU was the first in India to introduce a 4-year multidisciplinary research degree and is recognized as an Institute of Eminence by the Government of India. It has consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in NIRF (2018–2024) and placed in the 601–800 band in THE World Rankings 2024.
